The Cessna Citation Sovereign (Cessna Model 680 Sovereign) is an American mid-size business jet developed by Cessna. The Sovereign is considered a transcontinental aircraft with the capability to fly Los Angeles to Hawaii greater than 98% of the time. It was first introduced at the 1998 NBAA exhibition, and its first flight took place in February 2002. It was FAA certified on June 2, 2004 and delivered in late September. The Citation Sovereign was designed with a fuselage 6.6 feet longer than the Citation Excel, new 515.9 sq ft wings with large trailing edge flaps, and Honeywell Primus Epic glass cockpit avionics with four LCD screens. It is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306C engines with 5,770 pounds of thrust.
